Provider Evaluates Patient
The NP reviews the patient's health history, medications, allergies, and checks for any contraindications to treatment. The evaluation is thorough and clinically documented.
Assessment Returned To MedSpa
Neu Eu returns the completed assessment to the MedSpa. If cleared, authorization is provided and treatment can proceed immediately.

Evaluates
The Good Faith Exam proceeds in two parts: obtaining a thorough patient medical history and performing a clinical assessment. This evaluation establishes a provider-patient relationship and produces a documented clinical determination regarding the proposed treatment.
All exams are conducted by providers with prescriptive authority — board-certified nurse practitioners authorized to evaluate patients, make clinical determinations, and issue or deny treatment orders.
Medical History & Medication
Current and past medical conditions, surgeries, hospitalizations, current medications, supplements, and known allergies, all reviewed for potential interactions or risks with the proposed treatment.
Contraindication Assessment
The provider identifies any medical conditions, medication interactions, or health factors that could make the proposed aesthetic treatment unsafe or clinically inappropriate for this patient.
Treatment Appropriateness
Based on the full evaluation, the provider determines whether the specific treatment is appropriate and issues a clinical determination. Either authorization to proceed or denial with documented reasoning.
Clinical Documentation
The completed assessment is documented and returned to the MedSpa as a clinical record. This documentation reflects that a licensed provider with prescriptive authority evaluated the patient prior to treatment, including the clinical reasoning behind the authorization or denial.

Neu Eu Medical's Role
Neu Eu Medical conducts the Good Faith Exam. A licensed, board-certified nurse practitioner evaluates the patient via telehealth, reviews their medical history, medications, allergies, and contraindications, makes a clinical determination and returns a documented assessment to the MedSpa. Neu Eu Medical's responsibility is limited to the evaluation only.
MedSpa's Role
The MedSpa facilitates the Good Faith Exam by initiating the visit, providing the device to the patient, and receiving the completed assessment. The MedSpa is solely responsible for the aesthetic treatment itself including its execution, outcomes, complications, and patient satisfaction. The MedSpa is the contracting and billing party with Neu Eu Medical.
Patient's Role
The patient participates in the evaluation by providing complete and accurate health information to the Neu Eu provider. The patient is responsible for providing truthful medical history, medication lists, and allergy information. Inaccurate information may affect the safety determination.
When a New Exam is Needed
A Good Faith Exam is required before the first time a patient undergoes a particular procedure. A new exam should be conducted when a patient requests a new treatment type not covered by the original evaluation, when the patient reports a significant change in health status, or at the MedSpa's discretion based on the time elapsed since the last evaluation. The MedSpa is responsible for determining when a new Good Faith Exam is needed for their patients.
Billing & Payment
Neu Eu Medical bills the MedSpa directly at $39.99 per exam (+ 3.5% processing fee & applicable taxes). The exam fee is due regardless of the clinical outcome. If the provider denies authorization, the MedSpa is still charged for the exam. The evaluation itself is the service.
Denial of Authorization
If the provider identifies contraindications or determines the treatment is not appropriate, authorization will be denied. The exam fee is still due and non-refundable to the MedSpa. A denial is a clinical safety determination, not a failure to provide service. The documented reasoning is included in the assessment returned to the MedSpa.
Liability Delineation
Neu Eu Medical is responsible for the clinical evaluation only. The MedSpa is responsible for the treatment, its administration, outcomes, and complications. Our authorization confirms no contraindications were identified at the time of evaluation. It does not guarantee treatment safety, outcomes, or assume liability for the MedSpa's services.
Informed Consent
The patient must be informed that they are being evaluated by a Neu Eu Medical provider via telehealth and must consent to the evaluation. The MedSpa is responsible for obtaining any additional informed consent required for the aesthetic treatment itself. Neu Eu's evaluation documents the clinical determination only — not consent for the MedSpa's services.

Exam Methodology
Each Good Faith Exam consists of a medical history review and a clinical assessment conducted in real time via synchronous telehealth. The evaluation establishes a provider-patient relationship and produces a documented clinical determination. The exam is not a substitute for in-person evaluation when state law or clinical circumstances require it. The MedSpa is responsible for confirming that a telehealth GFE is appropriate for their jurisdiction and th specific treatments offered.
Renewal & Frequency
The MedSpa is responsible for determining when a new Good Faith Exam is needed for their patients, including for new treatment types, significant health status changes, or based on time elapsed. Neu Eu Medical does not independently track patient renewal schedules on behalf of the MedSpa.
